Hoping that someone here can help confirm my suspicion that my HLP5663 has a dead imager or DMD board. I can power the set on and the lamp fires and stays on, but I get no image at all on the screen, not even any of the OSD menus. All fans are operational, and I can see 3 LEDs on the input board illuminated, and one on the DMD board, so I assume power is good.
I had noticed for the past week or so random green horizontal lines through the image when the set was powered up cold. If I would let it run for a few minutes, then cycle power the image would be fine.
Is there an easy way to confirm the analog/input boards are working fine? Can you actually drive the DMD board directly with a properly formatted DVI signal and see if it displays an image, or is the interface proprietary?
Thanks in advance for any help / advice anyone can provide.

Is it worth fixing?
Re: HLP5663 Picture Dead
Hi, mmmm the thing is that it is very hard to find a DMD board alone most of the time you find it with the whole light engine here is an example http://www.discount-merchant.com/SAMSUN ... 160107.htm and to be honest i recommend you to get another Tv not DLP hope this helps o btw that light engine is for that tv model but if youre going to replace it be sure it has the same part number.
