When I turn my Philips 55PP9401 on the picture and sound flicker on and off then stay on after a few minutes. It seems to take longer to come on each time.

When I turn it on sometimes it flickers on and off for five to ten minutes. When it stays on it doesn't go back off. There are no strange sounds or colors on the screen. Now it stays black with no sound and takes longer for the picture and sound to come on, but when it does it stays on.

It's very likely to be the ballast board not sending enough voltage to the lamp.
