need help half the screen is turning off
I have a samsung DLP TV model HLR-5688W and half the right side of the screen blacks out especially when I have it hooked up via hdmi. It mostly goes out on really white stuff such as the google main page which is primarily white it also does it on the other outputs does any one have simular problems please help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Ok the way to narrow down the problem is to check all the external inputs on the back of the TV. Try connecting a DVD with component cables (white, red & yellow). See if you get the same problem. If you do that means that both digital and analog board signals are affected. That leaves two suspects: primarily the analog board, and second the DMD. You can discard the DMD if you bring up the TV menu and it’s displayed perfectly. Here is a post that describes that problem in more detail.
