I picked up this tv (HLN507W1X/XAA) from a friend's dad and he said the bulb was bad. Replaced the bulb and when I turn it on I hear a whirring noise and there's no picture after it tries to turn on three times the 3 lights on the front flash and won't shut off until I unplug it. No clicking or any other noises. I have seen on some of these other posts that cleaning the fans may work but it's more than likely the ballast.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a color wheel. They go bad and make a loud whirring and humming noise. Get a new one at DM. They're relatively inexpensive and take a few hours to install.
