I have to replace the digital board in my Samsung 46" DLP this weekend.
The repair shop that has the TV wants $470+ to do the work!
They claim it needs to be done by a tech. I find that hard to believe considering it shouldn't be much different than installing a board into a PC.
Am I correct?
I'm just looking for any insight on what I need to do, what I shouldn't do, etc.
Pics and/or step-by-step would be great.
Thanks

Re: Need advice on installing digital board
OK, so I got the board and installed it with some minor issues, but nothing major.
Fired up the TV and the problem that the new board was to fix is still present.
I still have a blue/green shadow on the left side of the screen and no picture.
I can't even get the TV into service mode (MUTE+1+8+2+POWER) so I could make any needed adjustments. I've tried different connections for input (DVI & RCA), still nothing.
