how to reset your lamp timer KDS R60XBR1

Post by montevideano » Sat Nov 28, 2009 9:54 pm

Hi folks,

Last night I replaced the XL-5100 lamp in my Sony KDS-R60XBR1. I'm trying to reset the hours of the old lamp and I found some instructions in the Internet, which said, that to reset the lamp timer I first need to enter the Service Adjustment Mode doing the following:

DISPLAY+5+VOL+POWER.

To read the Lamp and Panel time it said to do the following:

Press the "JUMP" key [3 times]
You'll get into DE-micro service menu
Press "2" key [9 times] to show the Panel and Lamp hours.

I did this sequence several times without any luck.

Does anyone been successful and seeing the lamp hours and been able to reset the hours?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Folks,

I also tried to reset the lamp timer by doing the following:

press "3" , "MUTE" , and "ENTER" keys in sequence.
WRI-EXE(RED Character) is momentarily displayed and LampTM will be reset to "0"

I followed the instruction and nothing happened.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hello montevideano.
I just tried that in a Sony tv and discovered that there is a final step missing from your guide.
After pressing the 2 button nine times do the following.
Press 3 - then mute (it will change to “Write” ) – then enter ( the word “Write” will change from green to red. Wait from 40 to 60 seconds for it to turn back to green, now you’re all set. Finally you can turn off your TV.
Good luck.
