I recently replaced the lamp and the color wheel on my HLP5063WX/XAA. I noticed right after that whenever there was a black screen or a dark color in the middle of the screen, there were 2 oval-ish overlapping shadows...greyish light in color. This happens even in a pitch black room with NO ambient light. Could this be a smudge on a surface or dust that got lodged somewhere during the replacement process? The TV was bought in January 2004, and has a manufacture date of Decembner 2003 on the sticker.

Thanks for your reply. Luckily, there isn't a blob on the screen in any color. What it looks like is an "escape" of that bright white light. I'm thinking about taking it apart again and making sure that everything was replaced correctly. Somehow some light is getting through.
