HL61A750A1F - Channels Scrolling through 2 - 3 - 4

Hey all,
I didn't see a post anywhere here for my issue, so I hope we can figure this out
When I power up the set it starts at "cable ch 2" then to "cable ch 3" then "cable ch 4" then it goes back to 2 and repeats.
At first we thought the remote was in a couch cushion somewhere transmitting, but alas the remote activity light on the set was not flashing either. So its not a remote.
Second - If I hold down the volume button on my remote, or any button for that matter, picture comes in and everything is fine, but as soon as I let go it starts scrolling again. I was able to enter the TV menu with my remote, and once there it shows a steady scrolling of the menu.
Any ideas?
