Sudden loud Humming Noise (fan not spinning)

I have a 5 year old Samsung 43" DLP that's never had any problems until yesterday it all of a sudden started a very loud humming / buzzing noise when turned on. The picture is still okay. I noticed the fan is not spinning. Is this the color wheel? I've searched the forums and haven't found any problems where the fan was not spinning.

About the fan...try to clean the fan. Sometimes they stop working because they get stuck with dust.
In case that doesn't help try to replace that fan.
About the humming/buzzing sound...
Most probably is going to be your color wheel.

Thanks for the response. I'll try cleaning it. Interesting that they both happened at the same time.

Well I think the problem is the fan, if it was your color wheel then you would have problems with your picture, but you said it is ok.
