Hello. My 56HM195 has started occasionally shutting the picture off, but the audio stays on. It will then after a short period of time(maybe30 seconds) shut itself down. It makes a clicking type sound when it does it (the same one that it makes when it is done with the cooldown after you turn the TV off). Usually, when I turn it back on, it works fine again. Sometimes, when it happens and I turn it off and back on, it still doesn't have the video and powers off again. I will then wait about 30 seconds or so and try again, and it is fine. I don't have any lines or streaks or smears or anything else wrong with the picture.
I have read about lots of people talk about replacing the bulb, but they never describe the symtoms. I'm guessing it is similar to a standard light bulb that once it goes it goes, which would mean that is not my problem. I have had the TV for about 5 years and never had to replace the bulb. I have also read something about the Digital Video board, but based on the descriptions, it didn't sound like my issue either.
Any ideas?

Re: 56HM195 picture turns off but audio still on
Hello,
yes this sounds like a textbook lamp replacement issue, see below

but the clicking sound might indicate a ballast issue, I would try the lamp first!
hope this helps
