I have a 5 year old Samsung DLP Television, model HL-R6167W which has been a great T.V. and still has the original bulb. While moving the T.V. on the stand, an HDMI cable was twisted badly in the port, causing the tip to come loose from the cable. When I put another cable into the port, the port no longer works. I must have damaged the port itself when the cable twisted sideways. Can this be repaired or have I probably ruined the circuit board? Has anyone ever heard of a problem like this being fixed? I would really appreciate your help.

Re: HDMI Port Repair?
It seems that you may have damaged the port itself. You can just open the panel on the tv and check that port internally see if it has been detached from the tv from frame. If you need to get that port just get the part number from it and call in to see if the guys at discount-merchant have it available.
