First of all thank you to anyone who responds to this post.
My Fiance has this RCA and for the last 2 weeks it has been slow starting up, yesterday it would not come on, so I followed the steps I found online, unplugging the tv for 4 hours, etc...
The power light blinks 5 times, then goes solid for approx. 30 secs, then repeats the blinking. I am assuming its the lamp, the set has sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would agree, sound like a new lamp is needed, but first, do you hear any strange noise coming from the inside of your TV? Any clicking, whining, crackling or hissing? If so there might be another issue with your TV.
