Did you get this problem fixed because I have the same problem??? I was told it is the DLP chip on the DMD board but you shouldnt just replace that. I was told that you need to get a whole new Optical Engine to fix the problem which was $1300... Im just curious if anyone knows if you can just replace the DMD board and if I should have a tech do it or is it something we could do.. Ive contacted mitsubishi and they are no help at all

I'm starting to get this same problem with my set as well.

I'd like to know if it is a chip or a light engine issue as well. The chips go for about $350 and the boards about $425. There is an aftermarket lamp that has good reviews on Amazon that goes for about $100 and is supposedly fairly simple to install.

If anyone knows for sure, please let us know.

Thanks.

do you have a link to the part you bought?
and that is what solved your "white dot" issue ?
