Hello everyone....
I have a Toshiba 46hm84 set that will shut down on it's own. I power on, green light blinks 10 times, system turns on. Good picture and sound, no strange sounds heard. Then after 30 40 minutes, sometimes longer, it will shut down again. The lamp is 6mos old. Any clues?
Thanks for any suggestions

Re: 46HM84 powers off, blinking green light
Hello jsallnite.
First of all, have you cleaned the inside of your tv in the last six moths? If not then parts overheating might be the cause. Also check if all of the fans are working properly, even if one is not working as it should, that alone could be the reason for your TV shutting down.
Keep me posted on any new developments, and good luck.

Thanks for the tip... I've had a bad cold for a week, Watching my Toshiba Regza instead of the 46... I will check and clean the inside. So far the set hasn't shut down once! I'm glad, but... argh! Any way, I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again!
