Mitsubishi WS-A65 Blank Screen

Post by HatchMan » Thu Mar 31, 2011 2:49 pm

I just got a Mitsubishi WS-A65 that has a issue, when I turn it on I don’t get a picture, I do get some faint glow and some faint curved lines, I get error cod 1-2 which says “no error” and I have audio.
When I turn the set on the green light goes to solid with no blinking, I cant see any menus so I cant adjust anything.
Any Ideas?

 Can you upload a picture of the displayed image? So we can identify the faint glow and curved lines?

What is the name of that green light?

Is the lamp led light flashing as well? :?:
Change is the only constant, we must become the change we want to see.

I will try to take a picture as soon as I get home... it is very fain, the room has to be dark, the lines are curved like a frown, low on the sides, higher in the middle

I think this one was the timer light... just to the left of the power button, I will check and reply as soon as I get home

Where is this light? I only see one light on the front panel
Thanks so much for your time, I will get back with you later today when I get home

OK I have an update...
When I first took the rear cover off the TV and looked in the lenses, I could see that the blue was on, I could not see that the green was on, and the red was on, but not as bright as the blue, so I got down and turned up the three colors so you can actually see the CRT's, now you can see the patern better, the curved line are made up of the three colors Red, Green and Blue, and you can see "Ghost" images of the picture that is playing in the background, and have good audio.

The Power light somes on (the light is labled as timer) just to the left of the power button.

There is some minor crackling that can be heard coming from around the crt's (maybe normal)
Any ideas?

LCD projection is tricky, when you could fire it up do any of the menu screen come on? if not I think you might need to replace you DMD board...
