How could vidoe be related to my sound issue?
I have a Samsung HL-S4266W dlp from July 2006. I was given it because of the issues it has. The speakers have static and there was a loud beeping every few minutes. I resolved the beeping by doing an user reset. The static was still there even when the video was plugged in. I thought that if I unplugged just the audio the static would stop. It does not stop until the video is also pulled or it is muted. I have bought new speakers and hope they resolve the problem, but I tried some temporary speakers and they worked fine for a while and then they started popping. Do I have some other problem going on, besides bad speakers?

Some more history on the set. It has not been used for the last two years.
