made a loud pop the picture flickered
My DLP Model LNT2353HX/XAA Was on , made a loud pop the picture flickered and I could here a weering noise. I turned it off and back on, now no picture and the same weering noise. Something blew out. ?? Help!! Steve

Do yo see the screen? i mean do you see the screen illuminated? because if you see that is not the lamp, it could be something else like the colorwheel because the colorwheel is spinning at very high RPM so that noise that you heard it could be the colorwheel breaking in pieces and therefore is not spinning at the right RMP you hear that dragging, whirling humming noise, hope this can help you

I would say a color wheel is the most likely issue.
