I have a two year old hlt4675s DLP Samsung.
Was watching TV then the picture froze. Audio silenced as well. Still had a picture it was just as if someone paused it. The remote would not turn off the set. I manually unplugged the TV then replugged and it no longer will full start.
If you plug it in almost instantly there is a click. Then the fans start. Then the lamp ignites and shines very bright through the back of the set leaving an illuminated black screen. The standby light is on. The main button to power on the TV on the front of the set does nothing. When the remote button is pressed to turn on the TV the standby light stays on the then the middle light turns green. No response however from the TV. Not even that fun computer pin ball sound to indicate turning on.
I have the back cover off and the safety switch turned down and have no idea what I am staring at back there. Where do I start? I am a grad school student and not having a TV helps with school work but now I have no way to dissociate from my work
I need to get this fixed the cheapest way possible and I am semi handy with repairs. in other words I think i can do this. unless, i have no idea what i am getting into...hence this post here on this board for clarity. would hate to have the board replaced and still have a problem.
Any info or further questions that you could ask to bring better clarity I would gladly answer. Searching for a little hope this night. I look forward to your responses.

Re: DMD Board? Something else?
I am thinking it could be the digital board. since it controls most of the tv. that or it could be the analog board. but i would start with the digital board.
