Green screen

Post by JVCTV » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:41 pm

Hello,

I recently purchased a bulb for my JVC television. Initially everything worked fine (screen was clear and bright), however now more often than not when I turn on my television the screen is green. I have to turn the television off and turn it back on and this has fixed the green screen. I have replaced the bulb before but it was purchased from JVC and I didn't have this problem before. Please advise on whether this bulb needs to be replaced.

I look forward to hearing from you about this matter.

Sounds like there is a problem with the optical block (light engine). As long as the lamp is lit, you you purchased an original JVC or a replacement Philips brand lamp, you should be OK. If it's lit, I wouldn't doubt the light output of the lamp.

D-ILA are known to be short lived compared to DLP technology :(
