Samsung 46 DLP HLT4675SX/XAA problem

Post by mikej1983 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 4:52 am

I have a 46" Samsung DLP that I replaced the bulb on about a little over a year ago and now its not turning on. Unlike last time when this happened instead of all 3 lights flashing I only get 1 red and 1 green light flashing when I try to power it on. It it will make a little buzzing or whining sound when it first tries to power up but then it will start flashing the lights and will not power on. Any help in diagnosing my issues would be awesome, I am hoping its not the bulb since its just over a year old. Thanks.

Unfortunately it is possible to be the bulb however Samsung, does have a bad reputation for having defective ballast boards "ballast powers up your lamp" it is a consumable part on your DLP. Check the lamp for damage.

How would I tell, it doesn't look like it though. What do ballasts run?

the ballast can range anywhere from $200.00 new from Samsung. Or try stores like Discount-merchant.com, partstore.com etc...
this replacement can also be done with out the repair guy's over charges.
