lamp on no picture

Post by Nator52 » Wed Sep 29, 2010 8:41 pm

I have a Samsung model # HL-R5667W, when I first turn on the set the lamp comes on but no picture. The stand by / temp light comes on, does not blink, and after a few minutes shuts off. If I unplug the tv for a few seconds and plug it back and turn on the power everything works fine for as long as it's on, once I turn it off and come back later to turn it on the same thing happens. I changed the lamp and reset the hours and it still does the same thing. What could be the problem, I also cleaned the dust from the back of the set but since this happens when cold I doubt it is a heat issue.

 If you can see that the lamp turns ON and you still dont have a image, most probably your DLP chip is bad, this is a very well known issue with Samsung's. Please check the following info:

 After reading this you will comprehend that the DLP chip stops working and all of the micro-mirrors are on the OFF position.

:!: The last picture on this link shows you the enclosure of the DMD board

Apparently the part # of the DMD board is BP94-02217B
Change is the only constant, we must become the change we want to see.
