After replacing the ballast and the bulb the tv worked great for about 1 hour now it seems as if you are at a movie theatre with all the lights are on on the movie is playing. You can see the picture and it's clear it's just very faint or light.

Samsung hls5086 very faint picture
I have a Samsung HLS5086WX/XAA and had an issue with the dreaded 3 blinking lights. I replaced the ballast first, no response. I then replaced the bulb and housing with the BP96-1042A.
