Thanks for the reply nightkid! This makes me rest assure that I wasnt just crazy that it was a bad part. I had called DM and they sent out a second color wheel, this one also had issues. I wasnt aware they sold "refurbished" used units.... so I returned both and have a brand new one coming from sams...

So my original color wheel was bad, no big deal I will replace it. I ordered a "new" one from DM and recieved it and installed as per the how-to guide. Thanks for the reply! I got lucky and scored a new lens and light tunnel for ~100 bucks, so i got it taken care of

Well after posting this yesterday I finally found another thread talking about this subject, found out that the lens was infact covered with a laminate that i rubbed off when cleaning it. My question now, is how hard is it to replace this lens? I was fortunate enough to find one... but now i have to...
