It's funny, (and this is not a cut towards sensaiern) how it is still, in our politically correct world, ok to refer to a mean woman as a witch. Perhaps because there are bigger battles to be fought, those of us who call ourselves "witch" just shake our heads, know it is not true, and move on. Do you think that the world would be a little more peaceful if we would let minor things go?

note: There may be witches who take issue with the term b*tch and witch being interchangable.

Well, It is used on TV a lot in the manner I was describing. One of my first experiences was as a child watching Bewitched. I also heard on a few different interviews that Wiccans do not like to be called witches. In fact, one of my fellow employees said he was a Wiccan and told me the same thing.

Well, I KNOW some women like this so yes, it is BIOGRAPHICAL, but not AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL. My wife is a wonderful woman.

My wife and I are great partners. But My original post was bent towards humor.

How does one become a witch?

FIrst, promise your husband to be that once you are married, he will get all the or*l sex he wants, for free.

Then, once you are married, forget that promise.

Then, endevour to be a controlling masochist. Wait for your husband to get home. Instead of meeting him with a kiss, give him the 3rd degree. Be sure to include the questions, "Where have you been?" and "Why didn't you return my phone calls I left at your office?"

Then, instead of asking your husband to do chores, and praising when they are cxomplete, bark orders like R. Lee Ermey, the Drill Instructor in Full Matel Jacket. (http://www.rleeermey.net/). After the tasks are completed, do not say, "Thank you."

Then, start arguements with him, claiming that you do all the work around the house. When he reminds you that he did all of the things you've asked of him, act like they were no big deal by saying things like, "Oh, Wow!, You mowed the lawn! All you did is stand behind the mower and walk around the yard!"

While you may not be considered a witch by most women, I guarentee you that your husband, and many of his close friends will consider you a bonified witch. But, the only power you will have is to completely destroy the will of a once independent man.

I thought all the cavemen were extinct. I can see I was somehow misinformed.

I prefer the term Barbarian. Very Happy

By the way, I humbly apologize for offending some.

One of my biggest faults is that when a door is opened, I usually walk through it, even though it may be the entrance to a tiger(ess) cage.

HOORAY! I was seriously hoping that wasn't coming from personal experience.

I don't know about anyone else, but I know i was not offended.

I think you will find some wiccan's who don't like to be called witches, and some who relish it. I think it is fun, but I can laugh at myself. But, the terms are not always synonomous. This is the first time I have heard that it may not be ok to refer to a wiccan as a witch, but, I have been out of the loop before. I'm happy being solitary. I don't feel as though I need other people in order to reaffirm my connection with the divine.

Sensei, You share the same type of dry humor I have. Sometimes it is so dry it borders on being mistaken for serious by some, and even offending some. I have walked into that "tigers cage" many times myself. Your post made me laugh.

Gina and Bungholio have always rubbed each other the wrong way somehow. They are probably secretly in love with each other

yeah, there are a few who seem to rub each other the wrong way, not just Gina and Bungholio. I guess that is to be expected in any community.

I get along with most people.

I don't, however, tolerate people intentionally pushing my buttons to get a reaction from me.

And as far as having a thing with Bungholio...

I am very much in love with Jokesonme, thank you very much.

I wouldn't say I'm a wiccan or a witch or anything like that. I just dabble. I'm big on Tarot though. I'm just a paegan.

And about a post earlier, "true magic is not black or white, is is both because nature is both. Loving and cruel. The good or bad is in the heart of the witch." -- Lealia from The Craft

And that is so true.

What happened to Bungholio's "Urine-drinking" thread? I can't find it.
